Hi, apologies for the long silence, things have been a bit busy in the last couple of months.

Thank you so much for your well thought-out replied KeepItUp, I have a few more diary entires which I'm going to write up, although I realise now that I haven't been following your instructions!  Must re-read your replies more!

More soon!...

Thanks Keepitup.  Your replies are great, they keep giving me motivation to keep trying!

Yes, an orgasm actually happens in your brain.  I sometimes forget that.  I think I did actually manage to have a dry orgasm in my sleep once, I've never managed to reproduce it, but it proves that it's all in the mind!

I found this, which made a lot of sense to me:  http://forum.healingdao.com/general/message/3537%5C

Just a couple of questions if you would be so kind...

1. Do you know what I mean when I talk about the involuntary contractions of the 'twitch' muscle that happen during arousal?  (They're not linked with an orgasm as such, they just happen during the build up.)  They're the contractions which I don't get if I keep all my PC muscles relaxed during stimulation.  If you know what I mean, then my question is: do you get them before a dry orgasm?  Or are they a sign that the penis is too "loaded"?  Or are they irrelevant and it doesn't matter>

2. With "moving the basket ball" just before orgasm (with the PC muscle or by moving energy), what kind of time frame are we talking here?  Is it split-second timing?  How close do you have to get to orgasm before pulling it back?  You say it takes a couple of seconds before it's safe to let go into orgasm, but how close do you need to get to orgasm before putting on the brakes in order that the orgasm will come?

The post I've linked above starts here http://forum.healingdao.com/general/message/3512/ with the guy asking various questions about techniques from The Multi-Orgasmic Man, which I too have been (re)reading recently.   I totally have the same confusion.  For me ejaculatory inevitability seems to occur distinctly *before* orgasm, there can even be a gap of a second or two between the PoNR and the orgasm starting.  The Multi-Orgasmic Man talks about orgasm happening before ejaculation, but it just doesn't happen in that order for me!

2013-11-22  (Evening, started sitting then transitioned to standing.)

I aroused myself into the long-lasted state and then transitioned to using my Vulcan male stroker (Fleshlight-type thing).  Normally that would send me on a very fast trip to ejaculation, but I was able to use it for quite a while.  In total my session lasted for 15 minutes, at least half of which was using the stroker.  So if nothing else I've made progress in lasting longer.

I did quite a bit of stopping and squeezing my Base-of-Penis muscle and trying to circulate energy up my spine, and I tried squeezing the "million dollar point" (perineum) with my fingers to control the urge to ejaculate.  (I think it kind of worked.)  Then as I approached the PoNR I tried to squeeze at that same point with my PC muscles - like squeezing at the base of the penis but even further back.  I think I managed to reduce the ejaculation slightly, but I still ejaculated and lost my erection.

I feel like I learn a bit more with each practice session, and in that sense I feel like I'm making progress, but I still think I need some kind of "Ah ha" breakthrough before I crack this.

2013-11-20  (Evening, standing.)

Aroused myself into the long-lasting state, did a little bit of energy circulating but not much.  I tried using the reverse kegel, I practiced it a few time before approaching orgasm, to get the movement right, and then as I approached the PoNR I pushed out my PC muscles (as if pushing out a number 2), but it didn't hold back the ejaculation (despite having semi success with it on 2013-10-13).  As before I didn't have *any* involuntary twitch muscle contractions before orgasm.  None.

I think my arousal control is now much better, and I have quite a good understanding of the various muscles and what's going on down there, I just need to know what to do an/on/near the PoNR!

2013-11-16  (Morning.)

Aroused myself into the long-lasting state and did a combination of circulating energy, keeping my twitch muscle relaxed and contracting my tailbone and BoP muscles.  With recent practices I am finding that I can get closer and closer to orgasm without getting the involuntary contractions of the twitch muscle that I normally get leading up to orgasm.  Today I'm pretty sure that I didn't have any of them at all before orgasm.  I still ejaculated, so still had the involuntary twitch muscle contractions during ejaculation, but I'm pretty sure that I didn't have any leading up to the orgasm.  It's as if I'm building up 2 separate things during my arousal - my orgasmic energy and my urge to ejaculate.  I can now build up the energy *almost* to orgasm without building the urge to ejaculate, but then as soon as orgasm arrives the urge to ejaculate immediately rockets to 100%.

There were 2 practice sessions here that I didn't write any notes for.  I would have done much the same as the last few sessions though - keeping the twitch muscle relaxed during stimulation in order to get into the long-lasting state.  And then going splat!

Aroused myself into the long-lasting state by continually re-relaxing the twitch muscle while stroking, occasionally stopping to check it was relaxed.  Once I was in the long-lasting state I decided to try using my Vulcan male stroker (Fleshlight-type thing) to see if I could keep the twitch muscle relaxed and stay in the long-lasting state with more 'realistic' stimulation.  I couldn't really manage it, so went back to manual stimulations.  I tried circulating energy, and got very close to an orgasm with it, but as usual, when the energy gets towards an orgasm it eventually causes my penis to become loaded.  It's actually harder to avoid ejaculation when approaching orgasm in the energy way, because the loaded-ness sneaks up on your at the last minute.  So yeah, my orgasm went splaty.

Pretty much the same as yesterday.  Getting better at the relaxing and long-lasting thing.  Stopped before orgasm/ejaculation.

2013-10-26 (Morning.)

Practice session arousing/stimulating myself while keeping the twitch muscle relaxed, and continuing to get better at relaxing it while stroking so that I don't need to stop.  (Thus getting myself into the long-lasting state where I can stimulate myself for longer without accelerating towards orgasm.)  I tried to circulate energy up the spine, which was good but not enough to get an orgasm.  At one point I got towards an orgasm (but not necessarily close to the PoNR) and got some contractions going in the tailbone muscle, it almost seemed as if I would be able to have an orgasm and make my contractions happen in the tailbone muscle instead of in the twitch muscle, and I wonder if this is actually what people are doing when they have the "normal contractions" with a dry orgasm.  Dr Lin also talks about this somewhere(!) on actionlove.com.

I didn't orgasm or ejaculate.

So a question: when you have a dry orgasm and you still have the contractions, are they the *same* contractions as when you ejaculate, just with nothing to pump?  Or do they feel different?

Thanks Keepitup.  I should re-read your replies more often.  I'm just about to write up another load of my diary entires, and am realising that I've forgotten some of the things you suggested.

I find that whenever I go over the PoNR return, trying to hold back ejaculation feels like this:

.

I can squeeze with all my might but I can't hold it back!

2013-10-25  (Morning, needed the toilet.)

Aroused myself into the long-lasting state, and also seemed to be able to fully relax the twitch muscle without having to stop stimulation.  It was like doing the same relaxation as when I stop, but while still stroking.  Brought myself closer and closer to the PoNR going right up to it and then relaxing, but once I'd got to it there was absolutely no way I could relax to prevent the emission phase, it just seems impossible, and it also seems impossible to orgasm without getting to the PoNR.

Whaat?!  Is this multiple orgasm thing really possible?

2013-10-23  (Evening, standing.)

Aroused myself into the long-lasting state by being careful to keep the twitch muscle relaxed during stimulation (stopping regularly to re-relax it).  When I got to the point where the twitch muscle started to have involuntary contractions I contracted my tailbone muscle lots of times in rapid succession - this really helps to get into/stay in the long-lasting state.  I also contracted the BoP muscle with it at the same time (lots in rapid succession) which if I kept doing it made ejaculation almost impossible.  I tried circulating energy up my spine, but couldn't really get it to be strong enough to create an orgasm.  I approached the PoNR still contracting the tailbone/BoP muscles in rapid succession, and seemed to manage to have a *very* mini orgasm-ish sensation without going over the edge by pulling it back with the tailbone/BoP contractions.  Then I tried to do it again but going *through* the PoNR... splat.

2013-10-22  (Evening, lying down.)

Aroused myself making sure to keep my twitch muscle relaxed (stopping a lot to relax it).  I got to the point where I was sure I had entered the long-lasting state, continued for a bit and then stopped without ejaculating.

2013-10-20  (Evening, lying down.)

Aroused myself with porn and then tried to repeat the same thing from my last session - relaxing the twitch muscle rigourously during arousal to reach the long-lasting state.  It kind of worded but not like it did last time.  Maybe I become too aroused with porn.  I tried just resisting the spasms that occur as I approach the PoNR, wondering if I could prevent the emission phase by concentrating on *not* having the emission phase, rather than tensing or relaxing any specific muscle.  It didn't work, the emission phase is just unstoppable.  Given that there are clearly very different ways of beomce and being aroused, I wonder if there are different ways of ejaculating?

Maybe it's a case of letting the emission phase happen and then pumping the Base of Penis muslce in between the emission phase and expulsion phase.  If only 10% of ejaculate comes from the testicles (need to check this fact) then the fact that they've emitted semen doesn't really matter, it's the liquid in the prostate that needs to be held back.

2013-10-18  (Evening, standing.)

As I aroused myself and started stroking I made a concerted effort to relax my twitch muscle.  I kept on stopping to re-relax it, and kept doing this, until after a while it became automatically relaxed and I could then continue stroking without it tensing and without suddenly accelerating towards the PoNR.  This is a completely different arousal state in which I can last much longer.  I velieve that the automatic reflex of the twitch muscle to tense during stimulation is probably caused by the childhood get-off-before-you-get-caught syndrome.  But once you get past a certain point without tensing it, the arousal becomes completely different.  My penis was rock hard, but I could stroke it for much longer than usual (about 15 minutes, compared to a usual 5, if that) without coming.

I played around with 3 different potential ways to prevent ejaculation: BoP muscle squeeze, reverse kegel, and relaxing.  Reverse kegel seemed to have less of an effect when in this arousal state than it usually does, maybe because everything is so engorged down there.  I played around to see what I thought would work to hold back the emission phase.  I went with relaxing... didn't work.  Splat.

It seems that it needs a way to stop the testicles from raising and emitting the sperm, rather than relaxing which doesn't actually provide any resistance to the emission process.
