Hello everyone,

There has been some talk in this forum about using cabergoline (brand names: Dostinex, Permax, Cabaser) to inhibit prolactin, which is responsible for the refractory period after a male orgasm. This is a drug prescribed for Parkinson's disease and for prolactinoma.

Since the time these posts have been written, several studies have shown that cabergoline is dangerous. It has been found to be associated with risk of cardiac valve problems. One meta-study by Simonis, Furmann & Straser in 2007 showed that Parkinson's patients treated with cabergoline had a high rate of heart valve changes.
